Site Description

The quiet site is located on a farm in a rural setting outside of the village of Watton, approximately 1mile east off the A164. All pitches are well spaced and have electric hookup points; drinking water and elsan facilities are also available on the site. This is a level site with excellent views over the surrounding countryside and is adjacent to both public footpath and cycle networks running from the farm.
Watton lies halfway between Driffield, the capital of the Yorkshire Wolds and the historic market town of Beverley. Both only a short 15 minute drive. This also makes the site ideal for anyone attending events at the Driffield Showground.The caravan site is easily accessed particularly with large twin axle caravans and motor homes.
The site is close to the well known Tophill Low Nature Reserve and is within one mile of public transport, especially the East Yorkshire Hull / Beverley / Driffield / Bridlington / Filey / Scarborough Service giving those eligible free travel to the key towns and resorts on this coast.

Local Attractions

The historic Market Town of Beverley, located 15 minutes by car from the site, offers the Beverley Minster and a wide range of unique shops together with famous high street names and a wide variety of Restaurants.
The traditional Country Estates of Sledmere and Burton Agnes are approximately 15 minutes by car from the site and the house and gardens are open to the public from Easter through to October.
The beach is only a 25minute drive away at Fraisthorpe or Bridlington or a little further afield you can travel to the famous coastal resorts of Filey and Scarborough or even take a day trip to York or the fabulous scenery of the North Yorkshire Moors which are all less than an hour away.
Tophill Low Nature Reserve is only 2 miles from the site complete with visitor centre and viewing hides. This Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) comprises over 110 hectares of wetland reserve regularly attracting 150 different species of bird every year.
Fishing is available within 5 miles at Mulberry Whin near Driffield offering chalk stream fly fishing or Wansford pools which also offer a variety of fishing.
There are a large number of footpath routes in the area and details of these can be provided on your visit and the country lanes provide ideal scenic cycling routes.
