Site Description

The site is a rural idyll and a peaceful haven from the modern mad world! The site overlooks the highest point in Dorset and from your pitch you can watch the cows go up & down to milking. Alternatively you can walk over to our pond and see the Canadian geese nesting on the island. Otter have been seen but very early in the morning! Within 1 mile are three local pubs with infamous dining often frequented by local celebreties and a small shop, post office & garage are to be found in Marshwood village. We have spacious level grass & hardstanding pitches available both with 16 amp electric hookup. The site has its own separate WC/Sink & Shower. We have a small diner on site where we offer full english farm breakfasts and simple home grown & locally sourced produce for evening meals. Bookable the night before. Farm produce & eggs are available for sale. We accept motorhomes, caravans & tents/trailer tents. Dogs are welcome up to a max of 2 per unit, as this is a working dairy farm, they must be kept on a lead at all times outside of the caravan and exercised off site. Families are welcome. Also in the cabin on site is our treatment room for TLC Beauty & Therapy offering private, hygienic therapeutic & beauty salon treatments with fully insured & trained staff. On confirmation of a booking I send out welcome packs with maps, site pictures, prices and further helpful information.

Site Charges

£10.00 per unit per night (Max 2 adults & 2 children per unit) £3 per extra adult & £2.50 per extra child over 5.no extra charges for electric, hardstanding, awnings,or dogs. Peak high season, bank holiday weekends & school holidays booking is essential due not only to demand but also to no-shows in the past. £10.00 deposit per booking reserves pitch with full payment due 3 weeks before 1st day of booking. One phone call/e-mail reminder is sent if there is no reply then it will be deemed you have changed your mind & the booking cancelled no deposits are refundable. Low season it is advisable to check but usually we can accomodate at short notice. Breakfast £6 adults £3 children, Evening Meals are approx £3.50 main course and desserts & £8 main courses also offered are bank holiday specials & Sunday roasts. Treatments are variable in price & once a firm booking is received we send out relevant info via e-mail in the welcome packs.

Direct from the site are numerous walks along public footpaths & bridleways as well as the South West Coast path and Wessex Ridgeway within travelling distance. The Jubilee Trail is less than a mile away. We are situated 5 miles from Bridport & West Bay and 8 miles from Lyme Regis & its Jurassis Coast World Heritage Site.Dinosaur Museum. Charmouth Fossil Centre, Cerne Abbas Giant. Chesil Beach. Bovington Tank Museum & Monkey World. Pecorama 15 miles. Seaton Tramway & RSPB Hide. Forde Abbey 8 miles & many many more!!
